What is your role at Global Brands and what does it entail?

National On Trade Account Manager for Pub, High Street and Travel Retail. My role involves managing and growing the Travel Retail sector across Aviation, Rail and Cruise Ships with our portfolio, I also look after Stonegate, Wetherspoons and Mitchells & Butlers and help to support our listed brands by organising bespoke activations in outlet to help drive sales in venue. I also look after Loungers Group which is super exciting for me also as I love their brands!

How did you get into it?

I worked in the Travel sector for 8 plus years and always enjoyed the drinks side and looking after my customers, so it seemed a natural switch to move into Sales in the Drinks Industry. I have worked in various roles at Carlsberg, Matthew Clark and Spirit of Harrogate before moving to join Global Brands.

What’s the best project you’ve worked on and why?

So far, I have loved working on a project to launch Hooch into one of my customers which has led to some great activations and has been amazing to see their team get behind it and see the sales grow.

What do you like the most about working at Global Brands?

I love my team as they are a great support and also love the diversity of our range as we have something for everyone.

What’s your favourite GB product and why?

My favourite products are our Franklin & Sons mixers and softs as they taste incredible and compliment all of the different spirit categories. My favourite is our Pineapple & Almond soda.

And just to be nosy, what’s your favourite packet of crisps?

Oh my god I have soooooo many, I love Walkers Prawn cocktail and also Roast Beef Monster Munch.

What one piece of advice would you give to someone thinking about a career in the drinks industry?

It is an amazing industry to work in which is hard work but with lots of fun and rewards, it isn’t 9-5 so you need to make sure you are prepared for this, as long as you bring passion and fire in your belly you will be sure to succeed!
