What is your role at Global Brands and what does it entail?

I look after orders from our D2C website Good Time In, Amazon and Free Stock orders. I make sure everything is picked and packed correctly and collected by the courier. I also help with counting and adjusting stock in our warehouse at Clay Cross.

How did you get into it?

I worked in warehousing for 14 years and an opportunity came up to look after Good Time In orders and the logistics and I accepted it.

What’s the best project you’ve worked on and why?

It would be working alongside Marketing Team on Good Time In, which also expanded to having our products on Amazon as well.

What do you like the most about working at Global Brands? 

Everyday challenges and tasks. Learning new things about the drinks industry; the production, the marketing and the distribution.

What’s your favourite GB product and why? 

I am a fan of Franklins Dandelion and Burdock, that`s my favourite at the moment.

And just to be nosy, what’s your favourite packet of crisps?

Crisps to me are like chocolate to others. Honestly so many flavours to choose from but right now it`s M&S Honey BBQ Lentil Crisps (honestly so good!)

What one piece of advice would you give to someone thinking about a career in the drinks industry?

It is quite an interesting industry, there is so much behind creating a product, selling it, picking it and delivering it to the customer. Take your time to try to understand how this industry works, it will be challenging but rewarding, and provides the opportunity to expand your knowledge.
