Annie Harrity - Key Account Manager
How long have you worked at Global Brands?
Just celebrated my 1-year anniversary in November 😊
What is your role at Global Brands and what does it entail?
I have recently been promoted to Key Account Manager for Scotland. I look after Groups and high-volume accounts. A big part of what I do is building strong, upbeat relationships. I love being that friendly, reliable point of contact who makes things easier, clearer, and a lot more enjoyable. Whether I’m sharing insights, spotting new opportunities, or coordinating with the wider team, I keep things positive, energetic, and solution focused. And yes — I always try to bring a smile and a bit of sparkle to the process!
How did you get into it?
I started my first ‘drinks on-trade’ role with as a shot girl for Jagermeister, 6 months later I was City Manager for Glasgow and Edinburgh in a sales role and looking after the activation team. Since then, I have worked with different companies such as Diageo, Brakes Foodservice and then on to Quintessential Brands. I joined Global Brands as Regional Sales Manager in November 2024.
What’s the best project you’ve worked on and why?
I started in the business around the ABM launch; it’s has been great and proven to be very successful in Scotland! I have had huge support from ABM and work together very well. Also, Hooch – the marketing on this is insane!
What do you like the most about working at Global Brands?
When our ideas come to life, especially with permanent branding opportunities. There has been some great work done with the marketing team!
What’s your favourite GB product and why?
Ooooh, do I need to pick just one? For purely nostalgic reasons, I need to say Reef! I love working on branding with VK Venoms though and Franklin & Son’s range and flavour profile is amazing! I love that it is purely an on-trade product that you cannot find in any supermarkets!
And just to be nosy, what’s your favourite packet of crisps?
I love Salt & Vinegar Discos or Frisps!
What one piece of advice would you give to someone thinking about a career in the drinks industry?
Do it! It helps if you are passionate about the brands you are selling – hence why I chose Global Brands!
