What makes you proud to work for Global Brands?

I started working for Global Brands when there were 5 employees, it’s not very often you get to see something grow and be successful from the very beginning.

What’s your biggest accomplishment at Global Brands?

Lasting as long as I have! And, as a debt collector, not having to write off any covid debt and successfully collected all monies when the whole world came to a complete standstill.  Took 2 years but cleared every penny.

What’s the best project you’ve worked on, and why?

The biggest project I was involved with was re-writing and changing the Merlin database that the entire company work from.  Between myself and one other person we worked alongside the database suppliers and tailored it to suit every department and individual’s requirements for their daily job. It was very challenging and complicated but very rewarding seeing the final product come together.

What’s your favourite product by Global Brands? And why?

VK Blue – reminds me of my teenage, single years and Global Brands trips abroad.

So, just out of curiosity, what is your favourite packet of crisps?

McCoy’s – but I’ll settle for any, I’m not a crisp snob.

If you had one piece of advice to someone wanting a career in the drinks industry what would it be?

Take time to understand the industry and research the company. Take every training opportunity available, and above all work hard.
