25 and a half years

What is your role at Global Brands and what does it entail?

Senior Credit Controller – debt collection and chasing all monies owed to the business.

How did you get into it?

There were only 6 of us when I joined GBL over 25 years ago. Other than a very small sales team consisting of Steve, Mark and Santi there weren’t any ‘departments’ as such, we all did everything. So, between Dawn and I we looked after stock, production, orders, finance, wages and marketing. As the business grew, Dawn and I decided that we would take on the role of accounts and it developed from there.

What’s the best project you’ve worked on and why?

I’ve worked here that long and worked on that many I can’t honestly remember!

What do you like the most about working at Global Brands?

My work colleagues became my lifelong friends and family.

What’s your favourite GB product and why?

Back in the noughties – VK ICE. Present Day – I’m enjoying the Franklins Apple & Pear.

And just to be nosy, what’s your favourite packet of crisps?

Walkers – Ready Salted.

What one piece of advice would you give to someone thinking about a career in the drinks industry?

Work hard.
