Role overview:

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Content Lead to join the team.   Our ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering engaging, social first content and be able to lead and inspire our talented team of content managers.

Ideally, with some of your career spend agency side working in social, you will have experience in project/campaign management, as well as being a creative and strategic thinker. Overseeing the efficient delivery of high quality, social first content is the focus in this role. You will be a highly organised planner but can make decisions quickly and be reactive in the moment to help deliver relevant content whilst the trend is hot. You will have an in-depth knowledge of all social platforms, understanding content journey from ideation to posting, and analysis

Reporting into the Head of Brand, you will oversee our internal team of three content managers and also work closely with our brand managers to make sure we’re delivering quality, engaging content that aligns to brand objectives. You will also take ownership for the delivery of the Franklin & Sons content strategy

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of content managers, ensuring they are delivering against agreed KPIs and objectives
  • Advise on overall content strategy for the brand portfolio
  • Own the Drive the content planning, execution and measurement for the brands and deliver engaging, effective content across all designated channels
    • Lead monthly content ideation session
    • Lead weekly content team meetings to share best trending content themes and reactive content ideas
    • Deliver monthly content calendars, with all content overseen by relevant brand manager before going live.
    • Deliver a minimum of 4 content creation days per month (e.g. shoots, reactive content, etc)
    • Attend all relevant brand activations to capture engaging content to be delivered across relevant channels
  • Own the creation of content for paid ad strategy for your brand(s)
  • Work with brand team to develop social media guidelines for your brands including, but not limited to, tone of voice, visual identity and overall aesthetic.
  • Own the community management for your portfolio, ensuring all comms are in keeping with brand tone of voice
  • Own and manage email strategy for your portfolio including content creation and email database management
  • To work with third party suppliers and influencers to ensure a flow of effective, engaging and credible content that aligns to brand strategy/guidelines
  • To ensure you keep up to date with your audience – what content do they find engaging, who do they listen to, what channels work best – and to build that into your plans
  • To ensure all activities are measured and that performance is reported each month to validate ROI and ensure learnings are reflected for future content
  • Manage spend in line with agreed budgets, following all internal PO procedures
  • Support the content creation/liaison for PR activity, both editorial and advertorial, alongside the brand manager

 

The person:

  • People management experience
  • Experience gained working in a strategic content role
  • An experienced communicator and content creator who is passionate about great content
  • Knowledge and understanding of channel neutral content marketing across traditional and digital channels
  • High energy levels with the capacity to deliver operational tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of continuous learning – up to date on new techniques and content marketing principles
