franklin & Sons x So Let's Talk

Franklin & Sons were one of the first brands to join So Let’s Talk’s mission following their inception in 2020. The two teams are closely aligned; Franklin & Sons are dedicated to supporting the remarkable hospitality community and So Let’s Talk are an amazing partner for delivering change, providing mental, physical and financial health sessions to hospitality professionals. They recently collaborated on #86thesilence to educate and empower the bar community during mental health week, equipping bartenders with essential mental health tools. 

Franklin & Sons has pledged to support their accounts within the on-trade with the launch of its hospitality support fund, which financially aids bespoke 2-hour mental health sessions for their employees and management teams.

Franklin & Sons x The Drinks Trust

Franklin & Sons have partnered with The Drinks Trust, a charity dedicated to assisting, restoring, and developing the drinks and hospitality workforce. 

As a business partner of The Drinks Trust, Franklin & Sons pledge funding that helps provide financial assistance, wellbeing support, and industry training for drinks hospitality professionals.  

The brand has previously sponsored The Golden Pineapples, a celebration of the brands, people, and businesses that invest in welfare and wellbeing for their staff. Global Brands are also receiving training for ten Wellbeing Champions across the company, that then support the staff across our portfolio and business. 

Supporting the Local Community

Global Brands was founded in Chesterfield, with our founder and chairman Steve’s beginnings in hospitality stretching back to experience working at the local Red Lion Restaurant. Many of our employees and senior management call this corner of Derbyshire home; we’re proud of our roots in Chesterfield and strive to support our local community. 

We host educational events at local schools, providing hospitality career and apprenticeship opportunities to areas with historically low levels of social mobility. Alongside this, we provide prizes and reduced hotel rates for local charities such as Ashgate Hospice and BrightLife, and support investment in our area through Destination Chesterfield.

Applying for Funding

Every year, Global Brands reviews new opportunities for partnering with causes ranging from local charities to industry schemes. All of our partners go through the same selection process, and the majority of funding is often allocated for the following year by June/July.
