Creators of remarkable mixers since 1886, Franklin & Sons have revealed their summer focus, a campaign centred on creating remarkable moments with spritz serves across the on trade.

The team are promoting the spritz sharing occasion with activations including spritz terrace kits in UK venues, spirit partnerships across an impressive ‘Remarkable Spritz Serves’ campaign, at Pub in the Park and Goodwood Races, and across both trade and consumer events.

Terrace and garden spritz kits have been developed to immerse consumers in the relaxed spritz sharing occasion in partner venues, transforming summer spaces into immersive, dedicated, Franklin & Sons spritz areas. These utilise bespoke parasols, lanterns, menus, and glassware including spritz glasses and carafes, so consumers can get together and share remarkable moments with delicious spritz serves. Some activations include additional photo opportunities.

The spritz serves showcased over the summer have been devised with a range of spirit partners, to highlight the breadth and versatility of the spritz, with several perfect serves supported across social channels and video showing consumers the range of spritz serves available.

The spritz sharing occasion is also being promoted at both consumer and trade events this summer. Across ten dates at Pub in the Park, the team are serving up spritz across the south of the UK, and consecutively serving spritz over 19 race days at Goodwood spanning May to October at the Nicholson Gin Pavilion.

The campaign comes as Franklin & Sons predict spritz serves are set to trend in bars this summer. The serve has become a staple of summer in recent years, and more consumers are looking to playful fusions of familiar flavours that evoke memories of holidays and travel, as escapism trends influence drink choices in 2023.

James Stimson, Senior Brand Manager at Franklin & Sons: “This summer is the perfect time for venues to add refreshing spritz serves to the menu. The spritz itself is synonymous with accessible pleasure and as a drink with a history of unity, fitting perfectly with todays need from consumers to unwind with friends and explore flavour at the same time.

“Generally, we’ve seen themes of escapism influence cocktail creation this year, with new combinations of familiar, exotic flavours trending – and the easy-to-understand spritz is the perfect serve to explore these combinations.

“We’re looking forward to celebrating with our venue and spirit partners across the summer – with a spritz in-hand of course!”
