I first began by Apprenticeship at Global Brands back in July 2019, this was my first full time job leaving college and I had no experience whatsoever!

After studying Health and Social Care for 2 years I knew it wasn’t for me and went down the avenue of looking for something which showed interest to me and here I found an AAT Apprenticeship with Global Brands.

I started on a level 2 apprenticeship and finished being level 4 AAT qualified, it was a long and hard journey, but I had the best support team around me here at Global and always willing to give me extra support wherever I needed it. Having an apprenticeship allowed me to put the apply the skills I learnt into a classroom into the working environment and vice-versa.

Since finishing my AAT and becoming an Assistant Management Accountant have now moved onto starting to study for my ACCA furthering my qualification, knowing the support I received within my apprenticeship this enabled me to know that continuing my studies will be possible with having a live outside of work too. It’s important to remember there is a working/life balance and having the guidance from Global does help with this!

To anyone considering joining Global Brands to pursue your qualifications as an apprentice / learner go for it! You will always have someone there to guide you and no question you have will be too much, take every opportunity and have fun whilst doing it!
