Front end Developer – Part time/Flexible role

Global Brands is an international drinks company based in Chesterfield. We are looking for a Developer to design, build and maintain the companies brand websites from within Clay Creative (Global Brands’ own Creative department). With a portfolio of market leading drink brands our company is young, fast-paced and exciting. We are looking for someone who is passionate about digital media and keeps ahead of developments within design, development, social networking, viral marketing, in game advertising and mobile media.

We are looking for a digital media all-rounder who is technical as well as creative. The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled web developer with a genuine interest in web technology and extensive experience in coding, Search Engines and Content Management Systems. Our candidate would also have proven experience in taking website designs and bringing them to life with Wordpress or equivalent to create a responsive website, ultimately being responsible for each brands website from start to finish and being pro-active to promote and further each brands’ online identity.

This role would allow the successful candidate to work in a highly rewarding and fast paced design team, learning and sharing knowledge with the rest of the team plus the Creative, Marketing and IT departments of Global Brands. The candidate must therefore relish team work, think creatively and be confident in presenting their ideas.

We are looking to employ someone on a part time basis potentially for 3 days a week working from within Clay Creative in Chesterfield. We would also require enough flexibility to extend these hours when work requires and creative solutions as to how best to achieve this flexibility would be considered. The candidate should live within a reasonable commutable distance of around no more than 15 miles from our offices.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Updating and maintaining current websites for the group
  • Design and development of new sites to modern standards
  • Creating website pages and assets to support contests, quizzes and other promotional activities
  • Commissioning and managing outside professional services when required
  • Overseeing the websites, domain registration and DNS setup
  • Management of web hosting and server
  • Advising on how best to implement digital marketing strategy
  • Creating HTML email templates in Mailchimp and static landing pages

Essential skills required:

Graphic Designers: Chesterfield, Derbyshire

With a portfolio of market leading drink brands our company is young, fast-paced and exciting. We are looking for someone who’s passionate about Graphic Design and keeps ahead of developments within the design industry.

Clay Creative is currently looking for two possible roles to expand their team.

Middleweight Designer

For this role we require a creative thinker and skilled all round designer with 3-4 years’ experience. The candidate must have a proven track record of branding design, particularly in relation to product development and packaging application.

The successful candidate would have a main responsibility of designing for their specific brands, working to briefs given by the marketing team to create an engaging final product. They will also work alongside the brand team to develop brand design, injecting creative ideas and additionally helping with the general studio workload.

Areas of responsibility will include the design and product of graphic design material e.g. brand development and design, packaging, advertising, POS, posters, leaflets, brochures, FSDU’s, social media content, exhibitions and vehicle liveries etc. To succeed in this role the candidate must be highly creative, a good conceptual thinker, have a keen eye for detail and be capable of managing a job from concept through to completion. They should also maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments and trends within the design and leisure sector.

Competencies required: An excellent knowledge of the CC suite is essential. Drawing skills would be an advantage as well as an understanding and interest in social media and web design. The ability to visualise is important, as is maintaining a strong knowledge of artwork, repro, print, production and finishing processes.

Junior Designer

We are also interested in looking at a junior position working on day to day design and artwork tasks that require creativity and flare. These jobs are visually important but do not require as much technical experience allowing you to build your skills on-task. This is a great opportunity to learn your trade and gain valuable experience in all aspects of the graphics design principles. You will be given the chance to work on a variety of brand related briefs to broaden your skill set. Applicants must live in a close proximity to the studio or be within a short commute distance.

FRANKLIN & SONS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE: BATH / BRISTOL

Are you looking to transition out of your highly successful top Bartender or General Manager role into a sales role, and become the face of our fast growing, award winning, premium soft drink and hand crafted tonic range - Franklin & Sons - in BATH OR BRISTOL?

Your job will be to use your experience in the on trade to provide education, brand and activation support to the top bars across Bath and Bristol and possibly into other local towns and cities when appropriate. In addition to working on Franklins, we’d be looking for you to influence your contacts in the business to build sales for our premium Global Brands products such as Hoopers Alcoholic Brew and Teichenne. There will be freedom and responsibility to identify new business opportunities, and to work closely with our regional sales managers to win and support these accounts.

About You

Living and working in either Bath or Bristol, you will already have enjoyed several years working very successfully in the on trade in a variety of bar tending or general manager roles. You will be highly active and engaging on social media and well-connected to influential local, and, possibly, U.K wide bars and bartenders. We are seeking a confident candidate who thrive in the drinks world and is passionate about drinks, having gained their experience in the premium bar scene and now wish to extend their passion into a sales development role. This is not a standard 9 – 5 role, but then you’ll be accustomed to flexible hours coming from a trade background.

SENIOR BRAND MANAGER

We are looking for candidates with a great track record in running innovative campaigns, working across the full marketing-mix to drive commercial success. Creative thinking is also a must; we actively encourage the new ideas and support our people wherever possible to make them a reality. Your key responsibilities in this role will be the development, management and delivery of the annual brand plan and marketing strategy including; advertising, events, experiential, social media, PR, promotional activity and product development.

The role also requires natural gravitas and leadership skills with experience managing multiple stakeholders and inspiring cross functional teams. You will need to be a strong communicator and be comfortable at presenting at a senior level both internally and to some of our largest customers.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • 5+ years’ experience of working in brand marketing with drinks or FMCG brands (ideally soft drinks/mixers)
