Global Brands is continuing to redefine drinks categories by extending the Hooper’s range of unique alcoholic beverages to include a fourth traditionally British flavour, Strawberry & Elderflower.
The sparkling alcoholic brew is made using natural flavours to deliver a burst of fruity strawberry freshness before fading to a gentle elderflower finish. It launches at the beginning of November and will sit alongside the existing flavours of Dandelion & Burdock, Cloudy Lemonade and Ginger Brew to offer a sweeter premium RTD alternative for the discerning 25 to 45 year-old drinker.
Whilst the existing Hooper’s range can be paired perfectly with the nation’s favourite starters and main courses, the sweet and soft floral tasting notes of Hooper’s Strawberry & Elderflower makes it a perfect accompaniment to Britain’s most popular desserts, including fruit cheesecakes, Eton mess and ice cream. Adding a fruity variant to the range, Hooper’s Strawberry & Elderflower offers yet more true British refreshment to discerning day time and early evening drinkers, to whom Hooper’s is already hugely popular.
The 4% ABV drink will be available in 500ml bottles and will carry the brand’s iconic bottle design, which pays homage to William Hooper and his journey around the world to seek the innovative new flavours he could bring back to British drinkers.
Global Brands will be supporting the launch of Hooper’s Strawberry & Elderflower at the start of 2014, ahead of projected key sales peaks in Spring and Summer, with in-venue promotion at point of purchase in the on-trade and bespoke POS in the off trade. This is in addition to digital PR and Social Media activity.
Simon Green, Marketing Director at Global Brands adds:
“Consumers expect more from their drinking experience than ever before and continually seek opportunities to try new and interesting flavours from authentic brands. Hooper’s Strawberry & Elderflower not only caters for this, but also serves the current trend towards sweeter tasting premium RTDs made using natural flavours.
“The Hooper’s range has gone from strength to strength since its launch in August last year and our new flavour development demonstrates our commitment to the ongoing innovation of the brand. We look forward to seeing how the new flavour is received and will be supporting this with a range of marketing activities at the start of 2014.”
