1. How long have you been with Global Brands?
I’ve been working for Global Brands for just under a year – I started in July 2018.
2. Why did you decide to work at Global Brands?
After graduating university, where I studied Journalism, I knew I wanted to work in a field where I could do what I loved; writing and working with/on social media. I applied for the role to join the Communications team at Global Brands because I was already quite aware of a few of their brands, and I knew it would be a job which allowed me to be creative and would be something I would enjoy. I think it’s important to be able to have fun at work and be passionate about what you do, which is definitely something that can be done here.
3. How would you describe your time at Global Brands?
I’ve learnt a lot since starting at Global Brands, and I have enjoyed my time here seeing how brands develop and getting involved with plans that then come to life.
4. How has your career progressed over your time at Global Brands?
As mentioned above, I do feel like I’ve developed a great amount since starting here; coming here straight from university, my knowledge was good but here I’ve been able to put that knowledge into practice which has helped strengthen it further. I definitely feel a lot more confident with my knowledge of the industry and marketing as a whole.
5. How has Global Brands changed since you began working here?
Since starting, Global Brands has progressed quite a bit, mainly with new product launches which are always exciting! I started working here just as the VK “What’s Your Flavour” campaign was beginning, so straight away I had the chance to experience what it is like to work for a fast-paced company that really stays on top of trends with their brands.
6. What is the best thing about working at Global Brands?
Honestly, I think the best thing about working at Global Brands is the fact that you’re allowed and encouraged to be creative and reach a higher potential. There’s a lot of fun and enjoyable aspects of working for Global, and you do get the chance to progress and you get to see your ideas put into place which is really rewarding.”
