PA TO DIRECTORS // GLOBAL BRANDS LTD

Global Brands is the leading independent drinks brand development business that owns, markets and distributes an enviable collection of products across the RTD, spirits, premium soft drinks & craft tonics, and beer categories. Our Head Office is based within our own, award winning, 4 star hotel in Chesterfield – CASA.

The Role

This is a truly varied, interesting, and busy role which will see you having insight into all aspects of our fast moving, entrepreneurial, and successful drinks business. You will be providing PA and Administrative support to the Chairman and three Directors of Global Brands Ltd. You will be a vital point of contact for the rest of the company and very visible, thus we are seeking confident and resilient candidates able to easily multitask, whilst screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests and responding where appropriate. The job will include a wide range of important tasks from travel arrangements which could be complex involving flights, visas, accommodation and car hire to organising internal meetings or managing important clients’ visits to our Head Offices. There is also a degree of confidential personal work for the Chairman. You need to be comfortable working with minimal supervision and have the drive to seek out information and facts for yourself. Naturally in a role of this nature there are some general administrative tasks too including submitting expenses, including corporate credit cards, spreadsheet management, records management and maintaining both physical and electronic files.

We are looking for a PA who has a proven, and probably no less than five year track record, of managing multiple directors at any one time preferably in a product based company. We need someone who is extremely versatile, quick thinking and with the ability to work with a wide array of personalities and support them efficiently. The job demands someone with advanced MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint skills. Great drafting skills are also often required as the PA to Directors is often sought out to draft messages and correspondence across the business and to external clients and customers. Any Spanish language skills would be beneficial but not vital to the role.

The current incumbent of this role is moving on within the company to a role in recruitment for the company and its sister company CASA hotel after having grown within the job for over 7 years. We are proud to support staff development in this way.

NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER DRINKS INDUSTRY / LATE NIGHT AND STUDENT SECTOR

The Role

We now need to augment our talented sales team with a National Account Manager to work in the on-trade business unit specialising in the Students and Late Night sector delivering vital core business objectives. This is one of the most influential ledgers for our business, and as such it is supported with a healthy marketing budget. It is at the forefront of our core brands plans, and the individual in this role is highly visible to the business across all our teams.

The Person

Ambitious, intelligent, driven to succeed with a natural ability to network, influence and sell. The candidate for this role must have recent and relevant understanding of the 18-24 year old sector and their drinking occasions. They should retain a desire to be involved in late night activations and experiential marketing campaigns within this young, vibrant, group. Experience of working with NUSSL or other late night/student businesses would be ideal. The successful candidate will join a flourishing company with a great track record in retaining and promoting talent from within its ranks.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER // NORTH EAST – NEWCASTLE BASED

The Role

The North East is an important, continually developing, vibrant market for us. In order to fully exploit the potential we see for our brands we are augmenting our Regional Sales Manager team by a new member to cover the North East with a particular focus on Newcastle. You will be a confident and highly motivated operator, coming from a drinks sale background or, possibly, from the bar or late night scene as a General Manager. Reporting in to the Northern Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing our relationships and business across the on trade retail channel as well as exploring opportunities in new business channels such as regional on trade route to market and HORECA.

The Person

This role will suit an ambitious and likeable individual looking to progress their career; who thrives working in a fast moving, entrepreneurial, environment. We aren't looking for an average account manager; and we will reward account managers who are willing to push the boundaries, learn rapidly, move at pace and have experience of managing a P&L. The role is field based and you will ideally be located within the Newcastle city area with a network of established contacts already in place.

The Role

Due to the ongoing success of our portfolio, especially our Franklin & Sons premium soft drink and tonics range, we are now looking to expand our Off Trade business unit. This new role is at National Account Manager level reporting to the Off Trade Controller. The prime business objective for this exciting new opportunity is driving growth within the premium soft drinks category within Food Service.

The Person

This role will suit an ambitious individual looking to progress their career in the drinks industry, and who wants to work in a fast moving entrepreneurial environment. You will be willing to push the boundaries and learn rapidly, and will possess a proven ability to build strong relationships. We will be looking for dynamic and driven candidates who already have experience of the soft drinks category in the Food Service and Contract Catering industries as well as an understanding of the on trade, and who are likely to have an established network of contacts.

ASSISTANT PR, SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMS MANAGER

We have a talented Communications Team managing the PR, media relations, content creation and social media across all our portfolio of products. We are now seeking a passionate and committed Assistant PR, Social Media and Communications Manager to join the team. You will take the lead on PR strategy and planning, as well working with the Senior Communications Manager to deliver social media activity on selected brands. You will naturally have excellent writing skills, be adept at building relationships with key media, and possess the ability to bring a creative flare to social media and the wider content role.

These are our key requirements:

  • High performing Communications Manager with a minimum 1 to 2+ years of brand communications experience
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering PR and Communication plans for consumer brands
  • Committed and highly organised individual who can translate ideas into clear action
  • Motivated to create beautiful, engaging content that promotes our brand values
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to create witty, engaging and informed copy for a number of different audiences
  • Proven in generating ideas and creative input for digital content and social media
  • An understanding of and experience in creating and driving brand media strategies across all platforms
  • High energy levels with the capacity to deliver on time, every time, taking hands on responsibility for core campaigns within the portfolio
  • Drinks experience is desirable but not essential
